Gilbert Kodilinye

Gilbert Kodilinye studied law at Oxford University, where he obtained the BA and MA in Jurisprudence. He also holds an LLM degree from London University. He was a Professor of Law at the University of the West Indies for 19 years. Gilbert is the author of numerous articles in international journals on aspects of tort law, real property and law of trusts, and author or co-author of five texts in the Routledge/Cavendish Commonwealth Caribbean Law Series. Gilbert is a Barrister of the Inner Temple (England and Wales) and of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (British Virgin Islands). He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
He has provided expert opinions and depositions for courts in the United States and the United Kingdom on aspects of Caribbean tort and real property law.
