Z. VANESSA KODILINYE is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, where she obtained the degrees of Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and the Master of Laws (LLM). She was called to the Barbados Bar in 1999. She is also holder of the LLM degree in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law of the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, and a doctorate degree from the Leuphana University, Luneburg, Germany. She is a Solicitor (England and Wales) (non-practising). She has been an on-line tutor in Telecommunications Law for the Masters Degree Programme in Telecommunications Regulation and Policy at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad. She is the co-author of Commonwealth Caribbean Civil Procedure (now in its 3rd edition), the leading text on civil litigation in the region, and of articles on litigation privilege, property damage and surveillance technology, published in the Caribbean Law Review. She is also a member of the Society for Computers and the Law (United Kingdom), the Association of European Lawyers (AEL) and the International Trademark Association.

PROFESSOR GILBERT KODILINYE is a graduate of Oxford University, where he obtained the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) in Jurisprudence, and London University, where he obtained the degree of Master of Laws (LLM). He was called to the English Bar at the Inner Temple. He is currently Professor of Property Law at the University of the West Indies, and is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP). His many publications include Commonwealth  Caribbean Property Law (now in its 3rd edition), Commonwealth Caribbean Tort Law (now in its 4th edition), Commonwealth Caribbean Law of Trusts (now in its 2nd edition) (co-authored) and Commonwealth Caribbean Civil Procedure (now in its 3rd edition) (co-authored), as well as articles published in leading international journals and cited in major textbooks throughout the common law world. He has been a panellist at a number of recent conferences on commercial and trust Law. His areas of expertise lie in trusts, real property, and tort law (including Negligence, Personal Injuries, Employers’ Liability and Defamation).
